A devastating fire has destroyed numerous shops and mechanic workshops at Sofoline Magazine located in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The blaze erupted around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2026, consuming various structures, including workshops and vehicles undergoing repairs, and resulting in the destruction of substantial amounts of spare parts, equipment, and other merchandise.
Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service were promptly dispatched to the location and managed to control the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby properties.
While no casualties have been reported, the event has left many shop owners and mechanics assessing their losses.
Investigations have commenced to determine the cause of the fire.
