Fake Naana tweet: Ignore people impersonating me – Nduom
President and Chairman of Groupe Nduom, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has urged the public to disregard publications of fake accounts created in his name.
The Office of the Founder of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) said the party detected information being circulated from such accounts, and has reported it to appropriate authorities.
A statement on Monday said one of such fake accounts has the handle ‘@paakwsijunior’.
“The official Twitter handle of Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom is @pknduom and not @paakwasijunior which made the viral tweet.
“Dr. Nduom’s handle on Facebook is also pknduom (https://www.facbook.com/pknduom)
“We wish to draw the attention of the public that this person who has named himself “Paa Kwesi Nduom jnr” is neither known to Dr. Nduom, nor his authorised representative or spokesperson,” the statement noted.
A tweet which suggested that the Vice Presidential aspirant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, was superior to Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia triggered the statement.
“We, therefore, wish the general public to disregard the messages being churned out from @paakwsijunior.
“Dr Nduom has been out of Ghana almost the entire 2020. However, he is capable of speaking his mind on any matter of public interest himself,” the release stressed.
