Veteran Nigerian actor Patrick Doyle and his wife are mourning the loss of their newborn baby girl shortly after birth.

The couple announced the arrival of their daughter, Omayinuwa Mayen Harriet Doyle, describing her birth on Friday, April 10, 2026, at about 10:40 a.m. as a moment of joy and gratitude.

However, in a heartbreaking update, the family revealed that the baby passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at about 4:15 p.m., just a day after her birth.

The brief stay of the child, they said, brought immense happiness despite the painful outcome, as both mother and baby were initially reported to be doing well after delivery.

The family expressed deep sorrow over the loss but said they remain anchored in faith, describing the experience as a reminder of their trust in God’s will.

They thanked well-wishers for their support and prayers during this difficult moment.
