The Government described the attack as an act that endangers civilian lives and critical infrastructure. It emphasised that such incidents pose serious risks to public safety, particularly in areas that serve as important international transport hubs.

Despite the incident, the Ministry indicated that the injuries suffered by the two Ghanaians are not life-threatening.

Ghana’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates has already led a delegation from the Ghana Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai to visit the injured nationals at the hospital.

Officials say the victims are responding well to treatment and are expected to make a full recovery. The Ministry, therefore, called for calm among Ghanaians both at home and abroad while diplomatic officials continue to provide the necessary consular assistance.

The Government also stated that it is closely monitoring the situation and maintaining communication with authorities in the United Arab Emirates to ensure the safety and welfare of Ghanaian citizens in the region.

Meanwhile, the Government has advised Ghanaians living and working in the Gulf region to remain vigilant and strictly comply with directives issued by Ghanaian embassies and local authorities.
