Don’t punish me for actions of my team members – Bawumia to delegates

Former Vice President of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has passionately called on party delegates to refrain from allowing personal grievances with members of his campaign team to sway their voting choices in the upcoming presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026.

During his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region, Dr. Bawumia stressed the importance of evaluating him based on his individual record, rather than the behaviours or attitudes of those who support his candidacy.

“I want all of you to know that I’m the one on the ballot paper,” he told the gathering.

“Maybe someone has annoyed you and is part of my campaign team. Don’t allow your issues with the person to affect me. I don’t have any problem with you”.

He further encouraged delegates to distinguish their personal concerns from the broader objectives of the party and his vision for the future of Ghana.

“Do not allow another person’s problem to become a burden for me. When you vote for me, I will come and help you,” Dr. Bawumia said passionately.

“I am pleading with all of you not to make someone’s actions negatively impact me. Please vote for me. I have no issues with you,” he added.
