A tyre burst triggered a serious road accident at Gomoa Onyaazde on the Kasoa–Mankessim Highway, leaving 15 passengers injured as a Ford Transit bus veered off the road and overturned.
The bus, which was travelling from Accra to Takoradi, reportedly lost control after the tyre burst, causing the vehicle to somersault several times before ending up in a nearby bush.
Emergency responders, including fire officers from Apam, police personnel from Winneba, and the Ghana Ambulance Service, swiftly arrived at the scene to assist the victims.
The injured passengers were taken to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.
No deaths have been recorded, and authorities have launched investigations to determine the cause of the accident.
