Coronavirus: We are making progress, don’t panic – GHS assures
The Ghana Health Service has assured Ghanaians of its unflinching support to the government in the fight top combat the deadly novel coronavirus.
The service has, therefore, asked Ghanaians not to panic over the increasing cases of Covid-19 being recorded in the country.
“We are picking all the cases that we may have lost, it’s a good thing” Joel Abekuliya, a Health Promotion Officer, said.
According to him, the increasing cases of COVID-19 being recorded means that the country’s enhanced surveillance and contact tracing efforts are yielding results such that all persons with the disease would be identified and properly catered for to halt the spread of the disease.
He dispelled suggestions that the confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country were being under-reported saying the figures published on the website of the Ghana Health Service were authentic and represented the true situation of the country.
