Coronavirus: Gov’t absorbs water bills for the next three months – Akufo-Addo
President Akufo-Addo has announced a three months free water supply for all citizens as measures against the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus intensify.
Addressing the nation on Sunday evening, the President said, “Furthermore, government will absorb the water bills for all Ghanaians for the next three months that is April, May and June”.
The government intervention comes on the back of complains that a greater portion of Ghanaian homes do not have running water, which undermines the World Health Organisation safety protocols of hand-washing under running water.
