Major League Soccer side, Columbus Crew has announced the signing of Ghanaian winger, Yaw Yeboah from Polish club, Wisla Krakow.
The former Black Meteors captain joined the US top-flight club on a two-year contract with an option to extend after fruitful negotiations.
The 24-year-old has been sensational so far in the Polish topflight having contributed to 13 goals in the Ekstraklasa; scoring nine and providing four assists in 37 league appearances for Wisła Kraków in the last two seasons.
Yeboah who is best known for his speed in his preferred right-wing position once got the internet buzzing with his Puskas award contender goal in the early stages of this season.
President of Columbus Crew, Tim Bezbatchenko spoke about Yaw Yeboah’s move and believe his addition will strengthen their attack and make it more explosive. He said;
“We are thrilled to welcome Yaw to Columbus. Yaw is a young winger whose dynamic style of play has made him one of the most exciting up-and-coming players in the Ekstraklasa during his time in Poland.”
“In addition to playing in some of the top leagues in Europe, Yaw also brings valuable international experience with the Ghanaian national team. We believe his addition to our roster will strengthen our attack and help us increase production out wide.”
Prior to his move to Major League Soccer, Yeboah has also played in France, Spain and the Netherlands before moving to Poland.
