Call Off Strike – Judicial Service Appeals To JUSAG

The Judicial Service has appealed to the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) to call off its indefinite strike.

In a press release, the Judicial Service expressed its readiness to engage in discussions with the executives of JUSAG.

Highlighting their commitment to resolving conditions of service which triggered the strike, the Judicial Service revealed that it had arranged a meeting with the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, to address the concerns raised by JUSAG.

The Judicial Service urged JUSAG to cease the strike in order to participate in this crucial meeting.

The Judicial Service emphasized that an end to the strike would facilitate timely and effective dialogue, leading to a resolution that addresses the grievances of JUSAG members.

Recognizing the hardship faced by its staff due to the government’s failure to implement the salary and allowances agreement reached in January 2023, JUSAG declared an indefinite strike on May 24, 2023.
