Berekum Chelsea prioritizes grooming of talents

Bankroller of Berekum Chelsea, Bernard Amofa Jantuah says his outfit objective is to groom talents to stay competitive in the transfer market.

The one-time Ghana Premier League champions has helped groomed a lot of talents for local and foreign clubs since gaining promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight.

Chelsea situated in Berekum are hugely represented in global football, producing players like Nicholas Opoku, Kisi Boateng, Emmanuel Clottey and other top players who have featured for the Black Stars.

Presently, the Bibires has cashed in on some players including Patrick Asiedu and Lord Amoah, who have joined Asante Kotoko ahead of the new season.

According to Amofa Jantuah, the club’s business strategy is to groom talents and transfer them in a bid of making money.

“Our business strategy as a club is to groom players and sell. Before we transfer any player, we make sure there is a replacement. I believe players who have left the club this window will not have any effect on us going into the new season” he told Kessben FM.

Berekum Chelsea are preparing for the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign scheduled for September.

The Bibires won the Ghana Premier League in 2011 and are poised to win their second league title next season.
