Swedru All Blacks have been drawn to play Nations FC in the round of 16 stage in the 2025-2026 MTN FA Cup with the game scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 7 in Kumasi.

Ahead of the game, All Blacks’ Public Relations Officer Nathaniel Obeng is hoping his team progresses to the quarterfinals while playing good football.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports in the lead up to the game where he stated that recently appointed head coach Kassim Mingle is the exact kind of coach All Blacks need.

“It’s a big game. Ironically the coach who was handling them-Nations FC when we played them earlier this season- is now our head coach. We believe that he knows and has pretty good knowledge about Nations FC, their players, their style of play so we are very optimistic that we will be able to go there and defend our badge.”

“Whenever we meet [Nations FC], it’s a tough game and we hope to serve our football public with some good football on the day at Abrankese and eventually All Blacks will secure qualification to the next round” Obeng said.

The game against Nations FC pits All Blacks against one of Mingle’s former teams in Nations FC.
