Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has officially launched the CitizenApp, an innovative mobile application to transform public service delivery and enhance citizen engagement.
The CitizenApp serves as a comprehensive platform that enables users to access a wide range of government services, report issues, and receive real-time updates on public matters.
This user-friendly app is designed to cater to the needs of all Ghanaians, making it easier for them to access vital information and services.
By streamlining interactions between citizens and government agencies, the CitizenApp promises to make processes more efficient and transparent.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized the app’s potential to reduce bureaucracy, improve service delivery, and promote greater transparency and accountability within government operations.
He believes this initiative will significantly empower citizens, ensuring they remain informed and actively engaged in governance.
“What Ghana has done many advanced countries have not yet done it. So we are moving in a direction that has major opportunities, once the system comes in doing business in Ghana will be very easy and smooth, paying taxes will be very easy, getting your passport, will be very easy, registering a business is very easy.”
“It is going to make life easier for the citizens and this system also allows the government to communicate with the citizens. This is an exciting development in our digitalisation journey,” he stated.
