John Boadu brought NPP to power in 2016 and he’ll do same in 2028 — Bawumia

The flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed confidence in the party’s leadership, predicting a return to power in the 2028 general elections.

He said John Boadu’s tenure as General Secretary helped the NPP win power in 2016 and expressed optimism that he could help the party achieve a similar victory in 2028.

“I am very confident that winning the chairmanship for the NPP is a sign that this party is going to come back to power in 2028. John has done it before when he was General Secretary; he brought us back to power, and I believe by the Grace of God he will bring us back to power,” the flagbearer said while speaking at the birthday celebration of John Boadu.

Dr. Bawumia, however, acknowledged that the party’s anticipated success would depend on the commitment and efforts of its members.

He urged party faithful to remain dedicated to the NPP’s cause and maintain unity, stressing that a united front would be crucial to overcoming the challenges ahead and securing victory.

“We all have to work very hard and keep the unity in this party. Unity will take us to victory. Let us stay together and make sure we win for the sake of Ghana,” he added.
