Ghanaian actor Don Little, born Stephen Atanga, has affirmed that comedian Funny Face remains his godfather, even though the two no longer work together, crediting him with playing a significant role in launching his entertainment career.
He recounted how Funny Face introduced him to the public after an encounter that followed a period of waiting on his pastor’s advice.
Speaking on UTV, Don Little said his pastor told him he had seen someone notice him and help bring him to the world’s attention, identifying Funny Face as the person who could help.
Although Don Little had seen Funny Face passing by the place where he sold, he had never met him personally. He eventually approached the comedian after following him to entertain schoolchildren.
“I told him he should help me because I wanted to be an entertainer,” Don Little recalled.
According to him, Funny Face initially told him the time wasn’t right and that God would make things happen when the time came.
Don Little said he later received a message from Funny Face, who had visited a friend selling near him. During their meeting, the comedian told him that the time had come for him to receive the opportunity he had been waiting for.
Funny Face later recorded a video of him, which began trending shortly after and marked the start of his rise to prominence.
Reflecting on the relationship, Don Little said their professional paths may have changed, but his respect for Funny Face remains.
“Now, in as much as we do not work together, he is still my godfather,” he stated.
