A phone dealer, Nana Yaw Kyere, popularly known as Terry or Dinero, has reportedly gone missing after allegedly meeting a client at Teshie in Accra.
Terry, who works with a colleague at a phone shop in Circle, has reportedly been missing for several days, leaving his family concerned about his whereabouts.
According to his colleague, who was reportedly the last person to communicate with him before his disappearance, Terry sent him a WhatsApp message around midnight on Sunday.
In the message, Terry allegedly said he had been “set up” by a girl in a room, according to a report by EDHUB.
He reportedly sent his colleague a photo of the room and shared a location indicating Teshie.
However, the colleague said he became suspicious during the exchange because the messages did not seem consistent with Terry’s usual texting style.
He explained that Terry normally addressed him as “bro”, while the person communicating with him used the word “boy”.
This reportedly led him to ask whether he was actually speaking with Terry.
He later reportedly received another message purportedly from Terry, stating that he had been released and had left the location.
Concern grew several hours later when Terry’s family contacted the colleague and informed him that he had not returned home.
Attempts to reach Terry by phone were reportedly unsuccessful.
The colleague subsequently revisited their WhatsApp conversation and discovered that the photograph of the room and the location Terry had shared had been deleted.
Since then, Terry’s family and friends have reportedly been unable to contact him, while his current whereabouts remain unknown.
The circumstances surrounding his disappearance have raised concerns among those close to him, particularly due to the unusual messages and the deleted information from the WhatsApp conversation.
There is currently no confirmed information about what may have happened to Terry following the reported communication from Teshie. Meanwhile, his car has since been retrieved and a suspect arrested.
