Former AC Milan star Sulley Muntari joins Hearts of Oak
Former AC Milan and Inter midfielder, Sulley Muntari, has joined Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak.
The ex-Black Star player joins the Phobians on a two-year deal ahead of the start of the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
Muntari has been training with the Accra based club for sometime now after ending his stay with Spanish lower tier side Albacete.
The 35-year old left Ghana as a teenager in 2002 to join Udinese before moving on to enjoy huge success in his career in Europe, where he played for the likes of AC Milan and Inter Milan.
The former Liberty Profesional star won several trophies in Europe, including club football’s biggest trophy, the UEFA Champions League.
He was also a member of the Portsmouth team that won the FA Cup in 2008. He scored the important winner in the semi-final against Manchester United.
His move to Hearts of Oak is seen a major coup for the Phobians, who have reinforced their team with some big-name signings including former defender, Nuru Sulley.
Hearts of Oak finished the first round in 9th place with a game in hand.
The return of the Ghana Premier League is yet to be known after it was halted because of the outbreak of the coronavirus

I think it’s a lesson to him. His temper, pride has really affected his football carrier up till today. A lesson to young once.
Was he not successful? You would always act more than what he does if you were to be in his shoes. Mind you, if its true he is having a deal with hearts doesn’t mean he didn’t succeed in his career. Look at someone who might not be able to provide for his nuclear family advising a hand that feeds thousands how he should manage his life.

I was at the East Legon Monday stars pitch the day Sulley got injured so bad, it all happens because he couldn’t control his temper how i think it was either warris or atsu was dribbling him, he is a good addition to hearts if only he would show leadership to the players, he must know that Ghanaian teams have their own challenges and shouldn’t expect management would be smooth like Europe
