One person has been confirmed dead, while 10 others have been injured in a road traffic incident involving two Hyundai H100 passenger vehicles on the Adukrom–Somanya Highway.
This unfortunate incident occurred at Akode No. 2, close to Aseseso, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
As reported by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the Kpong Fire Station received an emergency call and promptly sent a team to the location.
The team was dispatched at 6:03 a.m. and reached the site at 6:34 a.m., where firefighters discovered two Hyundai H100 passenger vehicles involved in the accident.
The injured individuals were assisted at the scene, while the deceased was removed from the location.

The vehicles were identified by their registration numbers as ER 1564-21 and ER 1660-21.
The collision resulted in casualties, with 10 individuals sustaining injuries and one person losing their life.
The firefighters responded to the emergency and aided in managing the aftermath of the accident.
The 10 injured individuals were later transported to the Yilo Krobo Hospital for medical care and treatment.
