The team’s preparation included a pre-tournament training camp and a number of friendly matches, which provided the technical team with the opportunity to assess players and fine-tune their approach before the tournament.

With confidence growing within the squad, the Black Queens are determined to begin their WAFCON journey on a positive note by securing all three points against Cape Verde.

A strong opening result would provide a major boost as Ghana seeks to compete for honours in one of Africa’s biggest women’s football tournaments.

The match will be played at the Moulay Rachid Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00 GMT. Ghanaian supporters will be closely following the encounter as they hope the team can make a winning start and set the foundation for a successful campaign.

The Black Queens have a proud history in African women’s football, having consistently been among the continent’s top teams since the early years of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
