Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, and exhaust systems
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotation, fluid checks, and filter replacements
- Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical components
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle safety and performance inspections
- Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs have been properly completed
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
Electrical Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical faults using scan tools and advanced diagnostic equipment
- Repair and maintain wiring systems, sensors, relays, alternators, and starter motors
- Install and repair vehicle lighting systems
- Troubleshoot battery, ignition, and charging systems
- Diagnose and repair electronic control modules (ECM/ECU)
- Install vehicle accessories such as alarms, sound systems, trackers, reverse cameras, and other electronic devices
- Interpret and work from electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Technology or a related field
- Proven experience as both a mechanic and auto electrician
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and repair procedures
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams
- Hands-on experience using diagnostic scanners and workshop repair tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
