Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stated that Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo’s brilliant start to life at Man City goes beyond the goals the Black Stars player has scored.
Guardiola shared this in a presser ahead of Man City’s English Premier League game against Newcastle United on Saturday, February 21.
A win over Newcastle puts Man City just two points behind league leaders Arsenal ahead of the Gunners North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspurs on Sunday, February 22 with Man City having a game in hand.
After sealing a move from AFC Bournemouth to Man City in January, Semenyo has registered five goals and two assists in nine games in all competitions and Guardiola talked about Semenyo’s impact since his arrival.
“It’s not just scoring a lot of goals. The strikers and the players who play up front are so important. Not just that.”

“Makes a special rhythm, his versatility to play many positions up front and in the three positions. “He has it in his DNA. His impact has been really good. The guys who came adapt quick because the guys for a long time here embrace them so quick” Guardiola said to the club’s media.
