Fire ravages Ashaiman Valco flat
A fire broke out at the Ashaiman Valco Flat on Saturday, November 29, 2025, destroying three rooms and partially damaging two others.
In a statement, the Tema Regional Public Relations Office of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said the Ashaiman Fire Station received the emergency call at 9:01 a.m.
A team led by ADO I Opare Philip responded quickly and called for reinforcement from the Tema Motorway and Tema Metro Fire Stations to help bring the situation under control.
The fire occurred in a 14-room, one-storey building located at No. 51 Nii Amui Street.
By 10:00 a.m., firefighters had managed to extinguish the blaze, saving 11 rooms and five shops from destruction.
No injuries were recorded, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
