Two people, including a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), tragically lost their lives after a speeding commercial vehicle (trotro) struck them in Kumasi.
A heartbreaking CCTV detailed the moment before the car crushed the two victims.
They were observed standing by the side of the road, perhaps waiting for a car.
One of the victims is yet to be identified, but the other is a third-year geography student at KNUST.
The trotro is shown in the video speeding out of control before veering off course and hitting the two victims.
Both victims passed away immediately from their wounds, according to eyewitnesses.
Following the loss, the KNUST community and the victims’ families are still in grief.
