One person has been wounded following gunshots fired near the Oduponkpehe Zion Park in the Awutu Senya East constituency of the Central Region.
Reports indicate the incident is not politically motivated but related to a chieftaincy dispute.
The individual who fired the gun is believed to be involved in a dispute with another person, which led to the incident.
However, the suspect missed the intended target, and the gunshot struck a bystander.
Meanwhile, the injured individual, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, has been transferred to the Winneba Trauma and Specialists Hospital for treatment.
Today’s election has been marred by violence in several places.
The violence erupted when suspected youths of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) vandalised a vehicle belonging to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
