The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, appeared before parliament’s ad-hoc committee probing the leaked tape, which captured the former Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Daniel Bugri Naabu, and other three senior police officers plotting to remove the current IGP before the 2024 general elections.
COP George Alex Mensah, Emmanuel Eric Gyebi and George Lysander Asare, both Superintendents and Bugri Naabu, made allegations against Dr Dampare.
On Tuesday, September 12, Dr. Dampare addressed the allegations levelled against him before the committee.
