Source The Ghana Report

The official vehicle used by the director of the Fisheries Commission in the Savannah Region has been snatched by two armed robbers at gunpoint in Tamale.

The incident occurred on Monday, August 7, in front of his residence when he had just returned from work.

Reports indicate that two armed men approached and forced the director to surrender his Toyota Hilux double cabin pickup with registration number GV 301-22.

Upon hearing the shocking incident, the Tamale police initiated a manhunt for the carjackers with the aim of arresting and recovering the stolen vehicle.

This is not the first time such an attack has occurred.

It would be recalled that in July 2019, a similar incident occurred in the same region as a Toyota Hilux pickup assigned to the then Savannah Regional Minister, Salifu Adam Braimah, was also snatched at gunpoint, leaving residents dismayed.
