Caf Women’s Champions League: Hasaacas Ladies beat Malabo Kings in opener
Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies secured their first win in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League with a 3-1 win over Malabo Kings of Equatorial Guinea. at the June 30 Stadium in Cairo.
The Ghanaian champions put on an impressive performance to dominate the game played at the June 30 Stadium in Cairo on Friday night.
Hasaacas Ladies were rewarded with a 1-0 lead at halftime courtesy an Evelyn Boadu’s great finish.
Coach Yussif Basigi’s side continued their dominance in the second half added the second through Pepertual Agyekum.
Malabo Kings reduced the deficit in the final moments of the game in hope of a comeback win but Hasaacas Ladies responded with Boadu’s second of the night to put the game to bed.
The win place Hasaacas Ladies at par in Group A with Wadi Degla who earlier beat AS Mande of Mali by the same scoreline.
