Five persons, including three officers of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), have been injured following a violent attack by an angry mob at Ayigya in the Ashanti Region.
The mob, reportedly led by a neighbour of the officers, attacked them on the night of Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in a two-story property belonging to the GIS after a protracted property dispute.
The neighbour, who claims to own the building, has allegedly been harassing the officers in an attempt to evict them.
Despite three separate court rulings favouring the Immigration Service, the neighbour allegedly resorted to intimidation and violence.
