A joint operation by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has led to the arrest of 39 individuals in a major bust targeting cybercrime networks at Adom City Estate, Tema Community 25, in the Greater Accra Region.
The early morning raid on Thursday, August 21, 2025, followed weeks of intelligence-led surveillance.
Among those arrested were three minors and a woman suspected to be an escort linked to one of the alleged masterminds.
Authorities believe the location was a hub for cyber fraud operations.
Armed officers carried out the operation under tight security, seizing laptops, mobile devices, and other digital equipment for forensic analysis.
All suspects have been taken into custody and are being transported to CID Headquarters in Accra for further interrogation and profiling.
The CSA stated that this operation is part of a broader national effort to dismantle cybercrime syndicates involved in online scams, financial fraud, and other digital crimes affecting individuals and institutions across Ghana.
The public has been urged to stay alert and report suspicious online activities.
Meanwhile, the CID has assured that the rights of all suspects, especially the minors, will be fully respected during the investigation.
