2020 budget: We inherited a dwindling economy – Ofori-Atta
Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta has accused the erstwhile Mahama government of milking the state coffers dry, leaving ‘no meat on the bone’
He said, the Akufo-Addo government inherited a dwindling economy which he described as “no meat on the bone” economy.
Presenting the Financial policy of the government for year 2020 in parliament on Wednesday, Mr. Ofori Atta tabled a number of ‘meatless structure’ they inherited from the previous administration.
“Declining agricultural growth, negative industry growth, high interest rates, weak banking systems, rising unemployment, high utility bills for businesses and households, ” are some of the inherited problems the budget highlighted.
