Yvonne Nelson’s Book Will Have To Be Approved Before Stocking In Public Libraries – Ghana Library Authority
Executive Director of the Ghana Library Authority (GLA), Hayford Siaw says Yvonne Nelson’s new book ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ will have to be scrutinized and approved before stocking in any public library.
Mr. Siaw who agreed that the content in the book is indeed interesting and would love to be read by everyone, asked bookworms who prefer to get access to the book at public libraries to exercise patience as management will review the book soon for its approval or rejection.
“It has to go through an approval process which has not been done and so once the acquisition team looks at it and makes a recommendation why not?”, he quizzed.
He explained that the Ghana Library Authority has an acquisition team that scrutinizes materials to ascertain their appropriateness and establish which of the target group will benefit from the material.
“Of course, it is an interesting read from what I have learned so far” the Executive Director added in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on 3FM.
