Your lifestyle must reflect the message you preach – Gospel musicians told
Ghanaian gospel musician, Melody Frimpong, has revealed that a lot of gospel singers are the opposite of what they sing in their songs.
Admonishing them, the ‘Nkunim’ singer advised her colleagues to develop a personal relationship with God.
“I have been in close contact with most of these Gospel musicians and I know what I am talking about. They gossip, backbite, and their lifestyles are nothing to write home about,” she bemoaned.”The work we do requires that our lifestyles reflect the messages we preach in our songs but that is not seen in some of us. If they were true Christians, I don’t think they would gossip, backbite or live a certain lifestyle”.
According to her, unlike other genres of music, singing gospel songs requires one to be spiritually upright with God.
“Our lives should reflect in the music we do for our fans. We cannot sing about loving one another and do the direct opposite, gossip about others and fight each other,” she said in an interview with graphicshowbiz.
Signed to Cebex Production, Melody Frimpong hopes to break through with her latest single ‘ Boa Yen’ which is enjoying several reviews on YouTube.
