Police in Agona Nyakrom have arrested a young man, identified as Paa Kwesi, in connection with the death of a landlady following an alleged assault in a compound house.
The incident reportedly began after the landlady, Madam Charlotte, complained about unsanitary conditions in the compound.
The issue arose when the suspect’s grandmother allegedly defecated in the house and left the waste in front of the landlady’s room, leading to a heated confrontation.
During the disagreement, Paa Kwesi is accused of assaulting Madam Charlotte. She later collapsed and was pronounced dead after being rushed for medical attention.
The suspect has been taken into police custody and is assisting with investigations as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
