World Cup Qualifier: Black Princesses land in Lusaka for Zambia clash

The Ghana women’s U20 team have touched down in Lusaka ahead of their World Cup qualifier first leg against Zambia slated for December 4, at the Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

The team of players and some officials led by coach Ben Fokuo, landed in the Southen African nation this morning to prepare for the match against the Young Copper Queens in the third round of the qualifiers.

The Princesses were exempted from the first round and had a walkover due to the withdrawal of Mauritania in the second.

The Black Princesses have been in camp for more than a month to prepare for the game and recently received a squad boost with the inclusion of six Hasaacas Ladies players who joined the group after their CAF Women’s Champions League campaign.

Two foreign-based players, Elizabeth Oppong and the 2018 FIFA U-17 World Cup golden boot winner, Abdulai Mukarama, were also included in the squad for the trip.

The first leg will be honoured in Lusaka with a return encounter in Accra in a few days time.
