World Cup 2026Q: Ghana to miss 12 key players for Chad and Madagascar clashes

Ghana will be without 12 key players, including Alidu Seidu and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar due to injuries.

Stade Rennes right-back Alidu Seidu and Leicester City forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku are both recovering from anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries.

Meanwhile, Spain-based defenders Abdul Mumin and Joseph Aidoo have also been ruled out, with Mumin recently suffering an ACL injury and Aidoo nursing a muscle strain.

Long-term absentee Daniel Kofi Kyereh remains sidelined, while Majeed Ashimeru is still working his way back to full fitness after an injury.

Head coach Otto Addo has named his 23-man squad for the qualifiers, which includes the return of Thomas Partey with the team set to open camp on Monday.

The Black Stars will face Chad on March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium before traveling to Morocco to take on Madagascar on March 24, 2025.
