One of Africa’s representatives at the World Cup, Cameroon has named its final 26-man squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
Coach Rigobert Song’s final is dominated by European-based players as they set to compete in their eighth World Cup.
Among the big names being left out of the squad was centre-back Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui who the coach provided no explanation at a news conference on Wednesday.
Most experienced Vincent Aboubakar, who competed as a teenager in the 2010 World Cup and again in Brazil in 2014, will captain the team.
It will also be the third World Cup for defender Nicolas Nkoulou, 32, and Bayern Munich attacker Eric-Maxime Choupo Moting.
Cameroon is in Group G and will face Switzerland, Serbia, and Brazil.
