Woman seen in video assaulting man arrested by police

The woman seen in a video circulating on social media assaulting a man has been arrested by the police.

Discussions on social media indicate that the incident may have been staged.

However, the police hold a different view.

Consequently, the Inspector General of Police’s (IGP) Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team has taken the woman and her male victim into custody.

The suspect, identified by the police as Esther Nana Afia Sarfowaa, was arrested in Subriso, located in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

Additionally, a second suspect, Stephen Ofori, has also been detained in Nkawie, Ashanti Region, for his role in the incident.

Both suspects are currently in custody as efforts continue to apprehend three other individuals, whom the police have described as being at large.
