A 24-year-old woman, Eunice Sebbi, was found dead in her boyfriend’s room at Sege in the Ada West District of the Greater Accra Region.
She reportedly committed suicide in the early hours of Tuesday, September 3.
The boyfriend, a taxi driver returned from work only to find her hanging in his room.
According to eyewitnesses, Ms Sebbi had been away from her family three days before her death.
Superintendent of Police, Daniel Yaro, the Sege District Police Commander, confirmed the incident.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Police Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
Meanwhile, investigation into the incident is underway.
The police has assured that persons found culpable will face justice after investigations are concluded.
