Wisconsin University College Receives Accreditation For Nursing Programme

The Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, has received accreditation, approval, and recognition from the National Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria for its nursing programme.

This approval enables students who study Nursing at the Wisconsin International University College to practice nursing not only in Nigeria but also internationally.

The accreditation was granted following the outstanding performance of Nigerian students who enrolled at the Wisconsin International University College approximately four years ago, some of whom had NECO certificates. These students studied nursing and excelled in their National Nursing Examination upon returning to Nigeria.

In addition to their exceptional performance in the examination, the graduates who returned to Nigeria are also making significant contributions in their respective hospitals.

In light of their achievements, the Nigeria Nursing and Midwifery Council has approved, recognized, and embraced the Wisconsin University Nursing program in Ghana. They are now prepared to collaborate with the program.

The school management expresses gratitude to God, the National Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, and the leadership of the Nursing Programme at the Wisconsin International University College for this accomplishment.

Furthermore, they extend their appreciation to Cape Coast University and the Ghana Nursing and Midwifery Council for admitting Nigerian students with NECO certificates to pursue studies in Ghana.

Established in 1998 and fully accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) in 2000, the WIUC was the first private university in Ghana to offer an MBA program.

It prides itself on being a suburban top-class university located within an educational enclave, featuring modern infrastructure and a serene and conducive environment for living, learning, playing, and networking.

Wisconsin offers an educational experience that produces entrepreneurial graduates and fosters a multicultural and diverse environment, with students from over 40 nationalities.

Currently, the university operates two campuses—one in North Legon (Main Campus, Greater Accra Region) and the other in Feyiase (Kumasi Campus, Ashanti Region).
