Winners For Player, Coach Of The Month For May Announced

Hearts of Oak midfielder Ibrahim Salifu has been named NASCO Player of the Month in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League for May.

The 21-year-old midfielder beat Aduana Stars’ Sam Adams and Ismail Ganiyu of Asante Kotoko to win the award.

Salifu has been in scintillating form for the Phobians since arriving from Techiman Eleven Wonders.

The youngster was impressive in May, scoring a goal and providing two assists as Hearts of Oak climbed top of the table.

He has won eight  ‘Man of the Match’ awards in the league and is in contention for the player of the season.

Coach of the Month 

Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu, was declared the winner for the NASCO Coach of the Month award for May.

He guided Hearts of Oak to five Premier League game wins and lost once in the month of May, a run of form that saw the Phobians jump from fifth to first in the Premier League table.

Boadu was nominated alongside Kotoko’s Mariano Barreto, WAFA’s Prosper Narteh Ogum, and Yaw Preko of Medeama SC.

Both winners are expected to receive a NASCO television each from award sponsor Nasco and a trophy.
