We will get another chance to serve Ghana – Bawumia Assures

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged party members to stay united and hopeful despite the party’s recent loss in the general elections.

Speaking at the NPP’s 2025 National Annual Delegates Conference in Accra, Bawumia delivered a heartfelt message of reflection and renewal.

With delegates gathered from all corners of the country, Bawumia acknowledged the emotional weight of the moment.

“It is a joy to see the representation of our party from across the country converge once again for conference. I, however, would have wished that we would have been doing this under different circumstances,” he told the audience.

Even as he reflected on the party’s defeat, Bawumia struck a hopeful tone. He encouraged members to see this period as an opportunity to regroup, rebuild, and prepare for future service to Ghana.

He reminded the party faithful that their mission to develop and transform the country remains unchanged.

“Yet still I am filled with hope, that as we reflect and reorganise, we will soon be given the opportunity once again by our countrymen and women to serve and assist in rebuilding and transforming our nation,” he said.

He called for deeper unity, noting that the NPP’s strength lies in its cohesion and grassroots solidarity. The conference drew together national and regional leaders, MPs, and organisers from across Ghana, all participating in shaping the party’s future direction.

As the NPP charts its path forward, Bawumia’s message served as both a call to action and a reminder of the party’s resilience.
