We urgently need victories to make 2026 World Cup – Otto Addo
Black Stars head coach Otto Addo believes the support of the Ga Chiefs is key to his side getting ‘urgent’ victories needed for World Cup qualification.
Ghana are joint-top of the 2026 World Cup qualification group alongside Comoros with nine points each after four games played.
Ahead of the qualifiers resuming next week against Chad and Madagascar, the Black Stars coach paid a courtesy call on King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, seeking his blessings ahead of the two games.
“Ghana urgently needs victories to qualify for the [2026] World Cup,” he said.
“We need the support of all Ghanaians, especially the Ga Chiefs, to help us in this task so the whole nation can be happy.”
The game against Chad will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, with the second game against Madagascar in three days in Morocco.
