The management of the defunct gold dealership firm, Menzgold Ghana Limited, says GH₵5 million has been handed to the Ghana Police Service to begin payment of its customers.
The Ghana Police Service is expected to supervise the payment of the customers whom the company (Menzgold) says have adhered to the protocols and validation processes for payment of their investments.
According to the company, the payment marks a significant stride in resolving the enduring concerns of those who found their investments locked.
Menzgold emphasised that the current payment process would be exclusively for clients who had diligently followed the stipulated procedures during the settlement process.
The company added that a full refund of the 82 clients who purchased the Menzgold verification digital access card should be completed by October 21, 2023.
The company urged those eligible for payment to strictly adhere to the specific dates provided while completing the required forms.
The list of customers scheduled to receive payments will be forwarded to the police by Menzgold to facilitate the disbursement process.
