We are contenders for every single trophy next season – Bibiani Goldstars chief Akwasi Adu
Akwasi Adu, the Chief Executive of Bibiani Goldstars, has set an ambitious goal ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 football season.
After their success in the Ghana Premier League, the Bibiani-based club has secured a spot to represent Ghana in the next CAF Champions League.
Domestically, Goldstars will aim to defend their Premier League title and compete in the Ghana FA Cup, making for a busy season ahead.
Akwasi Adu views Goldstars as strong contenders for the upcoming campaign and has urged the team to win at least one of the three major competitions.
“We are interested in competing in the CAF Champions League, Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup. We are always a contender because we’ve been able to win a trophy. At least we should be able to win one of the three competitions next season. You (players) must know you are here for a purpose,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bibiani Goldstars are expected to learn their CAF Champions League opponent in the preliminary round on August 12, 2025, at a draw scheduled to take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Additionally, the commencement of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign has been scheduled to kick start in September 2025.
The Miners resumed training weeks ago as they gear up for the upcoming football campaign.
