WCQ 2022; Yaw Yeboah gets late invite to Black Stars squad
Polish-based Ghanaian footballer Yaw Yeboah has been handed a late call-up into the Black Stars squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches next month.
Yeboah, who has been in dazzling form for Polish top-flight side Wisła Kraków has been drafted into the senior national football team ahead of matches against Ethiopia and South Africa.
Yeboah, a former player of Manchester City and Lille joins Coach Charles Akonnor’s squad as a late invitee but full of hope of representing fully in the aforementioned games.
The 24-year-old left-footed dazzle has been very active at club level for his club and recently scored an individually brilliant goal which caught the attention of FIFA.

So far this season, Yeboah has featured in 5 matches for Wisła Kraków as a right-winger, scoring 3 goals in the process.
As a reward for his fine form, it’s only deserving that he gets an invite to be part of the national setup.
Ghana will face Ethiopia on September 3, and South Africa on September 6 in Group G of the first phase of the qualification process.
