President John Dramani Mahama has delivered his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament following his swearing-in as Ghana’s President for the second term.
This significant event is in accordance with Article 67 of the Constitution.
During his presentation, President Mahama shared his vision for revitalizing Ghana’s economy, emphasizing initiatives aimed at generating more job opportunities for the people of Ghana.
Following the SONA presentation, Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin invited the Majority Caucus, led by Mahama Ayariga, along with Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, to share their thoughts on the address before the House was adjourned.
