Today, 6th March, 2026, marks 69 years since Ghana achieved independence, a pivotal event that transformed the trajectory of Africa’s quest for liberation.
Ghana’s independence represented not only a national triumph but also a symbol of hope for the entire African continent. As the first sub-Saharan African nation to emerge from colonial subjugation, Ghana motivated numerous other countries to seek their own liberation and self-governance.
As part of the celebrations, there would be a parade across 16 regions.
