Vote for NPP to retain the seat come 2020 – Second Lady urges Ghanaians
The Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, has urged Ghanaians to vote massively to retain the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in power come 2020.
Doing this, the Second Lady says will help the Akufo-Addo administration continue initiating and implementing all the good policies started by the government.
She rallied Ghanaians for a second term for the NPP at the first National Women’s Conference at the Jubilee Park in Takoradi.
The Vice-President’s wife insists the government has introduced a number of social interventions programmes that has significantly improved the lives of the populace.
According to her, “the government will continue to initiate prudent policies such as free SHS policy, planting for food and provide job opportunities among other things to help reduce poverty and empower Ghanaians.”
She believes it is important to allow the NPP continue with the good works it started.
She lauded the National women wing of the party for their strategic posture which, she observed helped to capture power in December 2016.
The two-day conference sought, among other things, to bring women executive in all the constituencies in Ghana together to foster unity and cohesion.
It is also to form a formidable front and explain government’s programs and policies to Ghanaians as part of efforts towards victory 2020.
The conference was on the theme “NPP Women on the Move for Victory 2020 and Beyond.”
