Viral skin-bleaching video leaves twitter users in disbelief

A video of a woman skin-bleaching in a spa in Nigeria has left twitter users in disbelief.

The widely-shared one-minute video shows a woman in a tub full of chemicalized fluid while another woman explains the procedure.

Using a spoon, she scoops off the melanin which gives the skin a dark complexion. In seconds, a skin area becomes whitish.

In Nigeria, nearly 77 percent of women use skin–lightening products, making the world’s most populous country of black people the biggest market for whitening skin.

1. 1st degree chemical burns.
2. Impending vaginitis
3. Possible skin cancer in the long run.
