(VIDEO) Officers ‘Run For Cover’ Over Fire Outbreak At Police Headquarters

Fire has destroyed a building at the Ghana Police Service Headquarters in Accra.

The fire occurred in the early hours of today [February 9, 2023].

Some officers, civilian employees and passers-by could be seen in an amateur video running for safety as others tried to douse the fire.

A statement from the police confirming the incident said the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) was at the scene and had successfully brought the situation under control.

No casualties have been recorded.

The fire only caused damage to the walls, glass windows and some other contents of the said building.

Also, the cause of the fire is yet to be established.
